I serve as the Conservation Director for Greater Yellowstone Coalition, a non-profit that protects Yellowstone National Park and the lands that surround it.

I'm a long distance runner who's run 14 marathons, along with races like the Pike's Peak Ascent and the Hood to Coast Relay in Oregon. I've also done some freelance writing, including a number of stage and radio plays and a weekly column for the Bozeman Daily Chronicle.

I live in Bozeman, Montana, with my wife, Karen Larsen, a social worker who works with older populations.
